GENERALITY

DRAGON QUEST XI S is the final entry in the legendary RPG series from creator Yuji Horii, character designer Akira Toriyama and composer Koichi Sugiyama. This eleventh main entry is a completely self-contained experience featuring new characters, a highly detailed world, enhanced turn-based combat, and an immersive story that will captivate fans years old, as well as franchisees new. Upon its release in Japan, DRAGON QUEST XI won numerous game awards and received critical acclaim, including the PlayStation Platinum Award and a perfect score of 40/40 from Famitsu (another publication), an influential video game product in Japan).

STORY

A young man, preparing to participate in the celebration of the age of his village, goes to the sacred stone with his childhood friend. After a series of unexpected events, this intrepid adventurer learns that he is the reincarnation of a legendary hero from a forgotten era.

The young hero enters an unknown world on a journey to unravel the mysteries of his past… but the welcome he receives is far from warm. After revealing his identity to the King, the hero is given the name “The Darkspawn” and is hunted by a relentless army.

Fleeing his pursuers, the hero gathers a group of lovable adventurers who believe he is actually the reincarnation of The Luminary. Luminary and his newfound companions embark on a quest that will take them across continents and across vast oceans as they learn of the ominous threat the world faces. .
