About this game

Project Zomboid is a sandbox that is not infected with zombies. It asks a simple question – how are you going to die?

In the towns of Muldraught and West Point, survivors must loot homes, build defenses, and do their best to delay their inevitable deaths by the day. There’s no help – their survival hinges on their cunning, luck, and ability to evade restless hordes.

Current features

• Hardcore Sandbox Zombie Survival Game focuses on realistic survival.
• Online multiplayer survival with players running servers constantly.
• Local 4 player split screen cooperation
• Hundreds of zombies with horde mechanics and an intensive visual and auditory system.
• Full line of sight system and real time vision, sound and light mechanics. Hide in the dark, stay still and turn off the lights at night, or at least hang the sheets on the windows.
• The map is vast and evolving (based on real-world locations) for you to explore, loot, and build your fortress. Check out the Blindcoder map project: https://map.projectzomboid.com/
• This car has full physics and deep and realistic game mechanics.
• Use tools and items to craft weapons, obstacles, and cook. You can even build a zombie-resistant fortress by chopping trees, sawing wood, and scavenging.
• Overcome boredom, boredom, hunger, thirst and disease while trying to survive.
• Day turns to night. Electric flashes. Migrant hordes. Winter is coming. Nature gradually began to attack.
• Farming, fishing, carpentry, cooking, trapping, character customization, skills and perks evolve based on what you do in the game.
• The right zombies don’t run. (Unless you ask them in the sandbox menu).
• Lots of music in a great setting from the magic of Zach Beever.
• Imaginative Challenge Scenarios and ‘Last Stand’ instant action mode, in Sandbox and Casual Survival
• Full, open and powerful Lua modding support.
• Xbox Controller Gamepad support on Windows. [Others pads can be set up manually. Gamepad support not currently available on Mac]
